I’m back with another Sunday Scoop! As we develop more and more, there is less of a divide between our protocol and gaming ecosystem. As such, I am merging them into one!

What We Did, What Went Well, and What is Next

The focus was mainly on Altergene and planning for the future of our gaming ecosystem. Altergene Alpha V1.02 was released, and works much better than Altergene Alpha V1! We have a lot more competitors because of this, and the game is a lot more fun. Besides that, we are also looking over the contracts of the devs’ lottery and NFT marketplace before deploying them. We’re also getting ready to deploy our other games over the coming weeks, including a brand new flagship RPG game coming in June! It will be related to Brutal Network, but more casual, so you can play one or both and not miss much but can carry over a few things from one game to the other! Our updated roadmap and announcements are on our Discord server, so come join us there if you want initial alpha and sneak peeks!

What Didn’t Go Well and How We Can Improve

The initial launch of Altergene was a learning experience. Issues cropped up, and we would have done well to have just taken an extra day or two to iron them out, even if it was alpha testing. In the crypto world, there’s often an emphasis on speed. In the gaming world, there is an emphasis on speed (and innovation/fun) in the beginning, and polish in the end. Because we were worried about the crypto impatience, the polish got cut short, and the launch of the game was not as great as it could have been. However, we have learned from this experience and are giving ourselves plenty of time to polish and release our next few games, especially the new and upcoming RPG game. We also want to create many more events (both integrated and external), but as we are busy, we do need someone to create and hold these events, so if you’re someone who likes running events, please contact us!
